Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of various types of vehicles, including flatbed, tanker, and refrigerated trailers. Responsibilities
Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds, to transport freight to designated locations.
Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and cargo details.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle assigned.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being driven (e.g., tanker, flatbed).
Experience in route driving with a proven track record of safe driving practices.
Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
Ability to load and unload freight efficiently, with knowledge of proper handling techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations on the road.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.
