Position:

Highway EIT

The primary duties of the Highway EIT are to provide project engineering and project delivery support with a focus on transportation projects and public transportation clients throughout the Southern California Region. Typical tasks include:

Collaborating with a team of project engineers on urban and rural roadway design.

Taking responsibility for alignment, profile, geometrics, drainage, and development of plans and cost estimates.

Assisting with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications, and calculations.

Performing other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.

Candidates without an EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator role and are expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.

Experience with Caltrans/Local Cities projects is preferred.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related engineering field.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preference for local candidates.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Proficiency with Micro Station and/or AutoCAD; familiarity with highways and roads engineering software such as Bentley Context Station, Open Roads Designer, Autodesk Infra Works, and Civil 3D.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more. The salary range for this position is $69,000 – $82,000, depending on experience and location.
