HGV Driver Trainer | Heysham | 08:00 – 17:30, Monday to Friday | Office based | Competitive Salary
Our client are one of Irelands leading haulage companies operating for over 30 years, they specialise in transporting full and part loads both to and from the UK, they operate with a modern fleet of 160+ HGV units and offer a wide range of services to their customers including full loads, groupage, warehousing and customs clearance. Their Branches are located in Newry, Heysham and Cardiff.
They are currently recruiting for an experienced driver trainer to join their logistics team. In this role you will be a crucial member of the team helping to achieve outstanding service to our clients customers.
Are you the right person for the job?
Full Class 1 Driving licence with 3 years’ experience driving professionally
Previous experience as a HGV driver trainer
Excellent organisational skills
Proven record of delivering change
Strong communication skills
A strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications
What will your role look like?
Driver assessments during the recruitment and selection process
Develop a mentoring package for new drivers to the business
Assessing and evaluating driver performance utilising vehicle telematics
Deliver a high standard of training to all drivers
Support investigations to fully understand route cause and further training requirements
Identify opportunities and develop initiatives to generate cost savings across the fleet
