HGV Driver – Class 1 Jobs in Chesterfield, UK at ADR Network
We are looking for self‑employed contractors to provide professional HGV Class 1 driving services for a client based in Hemel Hempstead. Contractors will be hired shift‑by‑shift and will have access to a wide range of start times.
Responsibilities
- Deliver goods and services on time and safely across the agreed route network.
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in compliance with UK road safety and transport regulations.
- Plan and coordinate shift schedules, including day, night and weekend work as required.
- Maintain accurate logs, mileage records and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Communicate effectively with the client’s operations team regarding deliveries, incidents and shift changes.
Qualifications
- Own or have access to a Class 1 HGV licence and a valid UK driving licence.
- Independent contractor status with a personal business or self‑employment registration.
- Demonstrated track record of reliable and safe driving on a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to manage shift schedules and deliver work during the client’s 24/7 operational hours.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
