The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Plymouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C & E) to join the team.
Shifts:Shifts run across Monday to Sunday however, drivers may be required to work the following shift patterns, Saturday -Tuesday OR Wednesday-Saturday
Hours:01:00-04:00 starts
Pay Rate:£13.60- £14.88 per hour PAYE
Location:Plymouth, PL6
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
Excellent communication skills.
A safety-first mindset.
