Position: HELICOPTER MECHANIC (AREA MECHANIC)

Starting Salary : $75,246- $109,746 annually DOE (including 20% geo-modifier)
IA stipend 2,080
Area Mechanic Stipend 4,000
Sign-On Bonus 10,000
We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Reach Air Medical Services. This technician will be qualified to support our EC135 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.
Responsibilities
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary, and document part expenditures.
Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required, and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
Take pride in maintaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members.
Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow AMTs and the operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Three (3) years FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificated experience
Three (3) years turbine-powered helicopter experience
Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and support and planning
Must pass FAA drug and alcohol testing requirements
Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing 10-50 pounds
Ability to lift and move up to 150 pounds with assistance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience under CFR Parts 133, 135, and 145
Avionics and electrical repair experience
FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
