Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will operate various types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
Drive and operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and flatbeds.
Load and unload freight securely and efficiently.
Perform routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery receipts.
Follow designated routes for delivery while adhering to traffic regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during transport.
Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading materials.
Manage manual transmission vehicles as required by specific assignments.
Skills
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role.
Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
Ability to operate various types of trucks, including those requiring manual transmission.
Familiarity with loading and unloading freight safely.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
