We are looking for a highly motivated Global Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to help build the supplier network for a new premium sports nutrition and wellness brand.
This role will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and managing relationships with both domestic and international suppliers. The ideal candidate has experience sourcing consumer products globally and enjoys building strategic partnerships that support business growth.

Responsibilities
Global Supplier Sourcing
- Research and identify qualified suppliers and manufacturers worldwide.
- Source private label and contract manufacturing partners for dietary supplements, sports nutrition products, apparel, accessories, and packaging.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified suppliers across multiple countries.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, lead times, production capacity, certifications, and reliability.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Request quotations (RFQs) and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and minimum order quantities (MOQs).
- Compare supplier proposals and prepare recommendation reports.
- Develop long-term supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and procurement documentation.
Product Development Support
- Collaborate with Product Development and Regulatory Affairs teams to identify suitable manufacturing partners.
- Verify supplier certifications, including GMP, ISO, HACCP, FDA Registration, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and Certificates of Free Sale when applicable.
- Coordinate product sampling and evaluation.
- Support new product sourcing initiatives and product launches.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Logistics, Operations, Finance, and Regulatory teams to ensure smooth purchasing processes.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers when required.
- Assist in forecasting inventory requirements and procurement planning.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business, Procurement, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain.
- Experience sourcing international suppliers.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Experience requesting and evaluating supplier quotations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience sourcing dietary supplements, food products, cosmetics, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
- Experience working with manufacturers in the United States, Europe, or Asia.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade practices.
- Familiarity with import/export documentation.
- Experience using ERP or procurement management systems.
- Understanding of regulatory documentation for imported products.
- Experience working in startup environments.
