Title: Global Sea Logistics Yield + Allocation Specialist

Company: Kuehne+Nagel

Location: Singapore, Singapore

It's more than a job

As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. And by transporting medicines, toys and important machine parts, you are not only delivering goods, you are making small and big moments possible for people all around the world. At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.

In this role, you will play a key part in maximizing space utilization, improving yield, and ensuring operational excellence across the Asia–North Europe trade lane. Working closely with carriers, regional offices, and internal stakeholders, you will help drive efficient allocation decisions, resolve operational challenges, and support the delivery of exceptional service to both customers and carrier partners.

How you create impact

  • Managing committed space agreements between carriers and Kuehne+Nagel offices to optimise volume, profitability, and service performance.
  • Monitoring allocation performance and providing clear steering instructions to ensure contractual commitments are met while minimising penalties.
  • Partnering with regional stakeholders to ensure compliance with committed space agreements and drive consistent execution across relevant trades.
  • Standardising and continuously improving allocation processes to enhance efficiency and operational consistency.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, origin offices, and strategic carrier partners.
  • Managing carrier allocations across services, trade strings, load ports, destinations, and National Account Customers (NACs) to maximise available capacity.
  • Taking ownership of operational escalations by collaborating with local offices, agents, and carriers to resolve issues effectively.
  • Analysing market conditions and identifying the most effective cargo routing and shipping solutions to optimise yield for both FAK and fixed-rate shipments.
  • Proactively planning for disruptions, including void sailings, by reallocating space to minimise operational impact.
  • Producing accurate monthly performance reports, tracking liftings against targets, and using data-driven insights to support informed business decisions.

What we would like you to bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Sea Logistics, with a good understanding of Trade Lane Management. Experience in allocation, carrier management, or trade operations will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide practical, business-focused recommendations.
  • A highly organised and structured approach to work, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence working with data and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across regional teams, influence stakeholders, and manage challenging situations professionally.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently, take ownership, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • An interest in continuous improvement and digital innovation. Experience with automation, data analytics, or AI technologies such as Power BI, Power Automate, VBA, Python, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools will be a strong advantage.
