The Role
We’re looking for an experienced FTL Freight Broker to join our Full Truckload team.
You’ll own shipments from quote through delivery — pricing customer freight, sourcing and negotiating with carriers, booking loads, managing execution, and communicating directly with customers throughout the process.
This is a hands-on brokerage role for someone who understands both sides of the transaction. You’ll balance customer service, carrier relationships, market conditions, and profitability while keeping freight moving and staying ahead of potential issues.
We’re looking for someone with at least one year of freight brokerage or FTL experience who can step into the day-to-day with a solid foundation and continue growing from there.
What You’ll Do
- Own domestic FTL shipments from customer quote through final delivery
- Price freight, source qualified capacity, and negotiate carrier rates based on market conditions
- Book and manage loads while balancing service, cost, and profitability
- Communicate directly with customers and carriers throughout the shipment lifecycle
- Proactively monitor freight, troubleshoot exceptions, and keep customers ahead of potential issues
- Build strong, reliable relationships with customers and carrier partners
- Maintain accurate shipment and pricing information within our transportation systems
- Identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, capacity, and margin
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of freight brokerage, FTL operations, carrier sales, or closely related transportation experience
- Working knowledge of the domestic FTL market and freight brokerage process
- Experience pricing freight, sourcing carriers, and negotiating rates
- Strong communicator and relationship builder — with both customers and carriers
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and follows through
- TMS, load board, or other freight technology experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits
- $55,000–$65,000 base salary + commission/bonus opportunity

Work Location
This is an in-office role based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Remote applications will not be considered.
After the initial training period, team members may be eligible for limited work-from-home flexibility based on department expectations and performance.
