Job Summary
The Transportation Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective movement of manufactured homes. This position involves coordinating transportation logistics, managing schedules, and communicating with various transportation companies to ensure timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, have the ability to verbally communicate and the ability to multitask.
Duties
Coordinate and schedule transportation for shipments, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to manage logistics and resolve any issues that arise.
Monitor transportation costs and optimize routes for efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
Collaborate with production and factory staff to ensure readiness.
Analyze transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Oversee that transportation companies are in compliance with all relevant insurance, regulations and safety standards.
Problem solve for the benefit of the company.
Maintain a professional behavior and uphold a positive work environment.
Good Customer rapport.
Have the ability to act in an urgent manor when needed, react calmly and follow through logically.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; logistics, office, transportation, equivalent skills.
Previous experience in transportation coordination or logistics is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
