As a Freight Officer, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient handling and receipt of freight, with responsibilities that include loading, unloading, and securing general freight of all sizes.

Key Responsibilities
We welcome applicants with or without a forklift licence.
Processing various types of general freight from beginning to end (palletised, ugly and oversize)
Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide, with ratchet straps, chains and binders
Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
Skills And Experience
Current Forklift Licence (LF) -ideally but not essential
Experience with general ugly/oversize freight
Expert in load restraints using ratchet straps, chains and binders
Ability to take direction from management and supervisors
Preferred scanning experience
Preferred experience with freight scanning systems and good computer skills for basic data entry and freight tracking.
