About The Role

Heroes is looking for a talented individual to fill a new role in the Supply Chain team to support with Freight Operations. This role sits within the Supply Chain Department and reports to the Head of Supply Chain Operations. This is a critical role for the supply chain function, as well as supporting our entire financial and commercial operations. As a key member of the Supply Chain Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily, weekly, and monthly freight activities ensuring full compliance with import/export regulations, and driving continuous improvement to establish a competitive edge in the industry. Success in this role will be measured by cost efficiency, service quality, and the agility to navigate new challenges.

Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Ad Hoc Tasks:

Maintain daily communication with freight forwarders via the freight platform

Resolve issues related to customs documentation, HT codes and duties, live customs blocks, and historic customs inquiries.

Manage updates and changes to plans, such as GRD adjustments

Departure board checks (ensure planned activity is being completed)

Handle ad hoc queries, including sea/air freight quotes and business cases

Weekly process

Collecting PO and transfer order requirements from the Planning team

Consolidating POs and making container bookings, optimising container fill

Oversee carrier billing, validating and processing invoices

Support the NPD process by calculating freight costs and providing HTS and duty information for new products.

Monthly

Generate performance reports

Conduct spend analysis and recommend performance improvements

About You

Proven experience in FMCG or a similar fast-paced industry

A strong self-learner with excellent problem-solving skills

Analytical and data-driven, able to translate insights into compelling narratives

Excellent people skills with internal and external relationships

Highly methodical, organised, and detail-oriented

Naturally curious, always seeking to understand, improve, and drive change

Advanced proficiency in Excel, Familiarity with GSuite

Comfortable managing conflicting demands on time in a high paced environment

Strong commercial and financial awareness.

Excellent written and spoken English.
