Position: Freight Handler
Location: Kings Mountain
Schedule: Monday – Friday, weekends as needed
Hours: 2:30pm-10:30pm
Hourly Pay: $18.00/hr (Includes $2hr for weekend work + time & half)
Experience Required: Pallet-jack, Walkie Rider, Reach Truck
Overview
This primary function of this position is to off load full cases of finished goods, palletize cases, wrap and transport pallets to the staging area and load trailers according to the loading plan.
Responsibilities
Review work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplied required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
Off load full cases of finished goods from stock, belt/conveyor or staged area to be palletized, scanned and count verified.
Transport completed pallet to shrink wrap or staging area with pallet jack or forklift needed.
Transport cases to the loading dock or shipping belt by hand, with a hand cart or other PIT as required.
Shrink wrap the complete pallets to secure the product to be shipped.
Transport cases to the loading dock or shipping belt by hand, with a hand cart or other PIT.
Load full pallets onto trailers by hand with hand cart, forklift or pallet jack according to the loading sheet plans.
Change out shrink wrap rolls, change forklift/pallet jack batteries and remove broken stock to appropriate staging areas as required.
Perform general housekeeping duties regarding tools and equipment and in work areas as needed.
Secure all assigned equipment daily.
Fill out all daily documentation associate with the shipping process.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
