On behalf of our client, logistics and supply chain solutions provider specializing in freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, and end-to-end logistics management, we are looking for a candidate who will successfully fulfill the position of Freight Forwarding Team Lead.
Job description:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor staff while managing daily workloads and performance targets
- Operational Oversight: Coordinate complex international road shipments from origin to destination, ensuring optimal route planning
- Carrier Management: Negotiate freight rates with carriers and build strategic partnerships to maintain competitive pricing
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all international shipping documents (CMR, Bill of Lading, AWB) and customs requirements are accurately handled
- Problem Resolution: Manage escalations, handle transport disruptions, and maintain high customer satisfaction through proactive communication
- Financial Tracking: Monitor profit margins and ensure accurate invoicing of freight charges and additional costs
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding road business between Balkan and EU with proven track record
- Knowledge of all transport and customs regulations in Serbia, as well as all transport modes and technologies (Express, FTL, PTL/LTL, and palletized transport)
- Expertise in the Serbian transport market, with a deep understanding of industry players and freight rates is must
- Ability to work under stress and pressure in competitive business
- Experience in leading team and coaching is desirable
- Experience in managing international freight tenders
- Experience with Key Accounting
