Location: Remote – Lebanon
What You’ll Do
As our Ocean & Air Import/Export Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating international freight movements across global trade lanes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage shipments from start to finish: Coordinate full-cycle ocean and air import/export shipments, including FCL, LCL, and air freight, ensuring smooth and timely execution.
- Book and track cargo: Secure bookings with carriers and airlines, closely monitor shipments, and proactively manage any delays or operational issues.
- Handle shipping documentation: Prepare, review, and validate essential documents, including Bills of Lading (B/L), Air Waybills (AWB), Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, and Certificates of Origin.
- Ensure customs and trade compliance: Coordinate with customs brokers, agents, carriers, and partners to ensure shipments meet all applicable international trade and customs requirements.
- Be the key point of contact: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, overseas agents, carriers, and internal teams, providing proactive updates throughout the shipment lifecycle.
- Monitor costs and invoices: Review freight invoices, identify and resolve discrepancies, and help ensure accurate cost control.
- Solve problems proactively: Anticipate challenges, troubleshoot operational issues, and find effective solutions to keep shipments moving.
- Collaborate globally: Work closely with our international operations teams and external partners to deliver a high level of service across multiple markets.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who combines strong freight forwarding expertise with excellent organizational and communication skills.
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- 4–6 years of experience in freight forwarding, with solid hands-on experience in both ocean and air import/export operations
- Strong knowledge of FCL, LCL, air freight, international shipping procedures, and end-to-end import/export processes
- A strong understanding of Incoterms, shipping documentation, customs procedures, and international trade regulations
- Experience working with carriers, steamship lines, airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, and logistics providers
- Strong relationships within the freight forwarding and international logistics industry are a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities while performing effectively under pressure
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience using freight management or transportation management systems is an advantage
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- French is a plus
