Assistant Import Freight Forwarder – Air Freight (Schiphol)
Start your logistics career in an international and fast-paced environment. As an assistant import forwarder, you play a vital role in ensuring smooth and timely handling of incoming air freight shipments. That is what you do!
You get it done
Together with experienced colleagues, you support the complete import process for air freight shipments. You assist with order entry, documentation, and communication with stakeholders, helping the team deliver excellent service to international clients. You work on it.
How do you do this?
By working closely with your team, transporters, and customs partners, you ensure all paperwork is accurate and deadlines are met. You communicate with clients and help troubleshoot any issues that may arise. You get this done by:
Assisting in processing air freight import orders in Cargowise;
Supporting the booking and coordination of shipments with carriers and transport partners;
Preparing and reviewing documentation for customs clearance;
Providing clients with shipment updates and supporting the resolution of delays or discrepancies;
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the operational workflow.

You bring with you
MBO working and thinking level;
1–2 years of experience in a logistics or administrative support role (air freight experience is a plus);
Strong command of the English language, spoken and written, and a working knowledge of Dutch (minimum B1 level);
Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn;
You are an EU citizen or in possession of a VGB certificate.
