Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Freight Forwarder role based in the Bratislava Metropolitan Area. The Freight Forwarder will coordinate and organize the transport of goods, including international and domestic shipments, by road, air, and sea. Typical tasks include preparing transport orders, negotiating rates with carriers, monitoring shipment progress, and resolving operational issues to ensure timely delivery. The role involves close communication with customers and partners, preparing transport documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures. The Freight Forwarder will also contribute to optimizing routes and costs while maintaining a high level of customer service and collaboration with the internal team.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in Freight Forwarding and Freight Transportation.
- Experience with Forwarding and Export processes, including documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and partners.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Ability to work on-site in the Bratislava Metropolitan Area and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of international trade, Incoterms, and transport regulations is an advantage.
- Proficiency in commonly used office software and transport management systems; additional language skills are beneficial.
- Relevant experience in logistics or freight forwarding; vocational or higher education in logistics, business, or a related field is preferred.
