Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the Railway Business Expert and the Stakeholder Manager for Freight Business Activities in developing the rail freight business plan for the GCC Railway.
Assist the Stakeholder Manager for Freight Business Activities in discussions with potential future clients.
Provide expertise in rail freight handling facilities across all levels.
Develop concepts for freight handling facilities, including dimensioning and high-level employer requirements.
Collaborate with potential future clients to develop these concepts, incorporating their requirements.
Coordinate with security and other relevant government entities.
Support the preparation of tender documents and other procurement-related documentation.
Experience:
10+ years in international transport and logistics holdings providing railway services as a core business.
Experience in developing policy and strategy documents, as well as business plans for state-owned railway enterprises, with a focus on freight and logistics.
Expertise in Transport & Logistics Centers Design, Design of Intermodal Terminals, and other freight facilities.
Skills:
Transport: Knowledge of Combined Transport (Rail+Road) processes, rolling stock, and equipment.
Logistics: Experience in designing Transport and Logistics Centers, Intermodal Terminals, including dimensioning, economic modeling, and business model design.
Knowledge of cross-border security, immigration, and regulatory processes.
Experience engaging with Arabian Gulf stakeholders.
Ideally, prior experience working on freight-related projects in the GCC.
Proficiency in MS Office.
