Role Description
This is a full-time, remote Freight Dispatcher position with We R Logistics LLC, a company based in Austin, Texas. This role is fully remote, and candidates are not required to live in Austin.
The Freight Dispatcher will coordinate daily truck schedules, search for and assign loads, negotiate rates, and monitor shipments to help ensure on-time pickups and deliveries. Daily responsibilities include communicating with drivers, brokers, customers, and carriers, resolving scheduling or route issues, and keeping dispatch systems updated with accurate load information.
The role also involves handling inbound and outbound calls, providing timely shipment updates, managing load documentation, and addressing service concerns. When needed, the dispatcher may also make outbound calls to potential owner-operators who may be interested in our dispatch services. This will be assigned only as needed and will not be the primary focus of the position.
Qualifications
- Strong dispatching, load coordination, scheduling, and routing skills
- Clear and professional communication with drivers, brokers, customers, and team members
- Experience searching load boards and negotiating rates is strongly preferred
- Comfortable making occasional outbound calls to potential owner-operators when needed
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of trucking, freight, and transportation operations
- Comfortable using dispatch software, GPS tracking tools, email, spreadsheets, and standard office applications
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional remote workspace
- Dependable attendance and flexibility based on operational needs
- Previous freight or trucking dispatch experience is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or transportation training is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. Bonus opportunities will also be available. The company observes select major U.S. holidays based on trucking activity and operational needs. Additional details will be discussed during the interview.
