Position Summary
PHEMS Trucking LLC is looking for a reliable and organized Freight Dispatch Coordinator to help manage daily trucking and freight operations. This position involves coordinating loads, communicating with drivers and customers, tracking shipments, and keeping deliveries running smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch freight loads using TMS platforms and load boards.
- Communicate with drivers, brokers, shippers, and customers regarding schedules and shipment updates.
- Track loads from pickup through delivery and help maintain on-time performance.
- Handle delays, route changes, and transportation issues quickly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate rate confirmations, shipment records, invoices, and delivery documentation.
- Assist with route planning, scheduling, and efficient load assignments.
- Prepare reports and monitor daily transportation and operational metrics.
- Follow DOT requirements, company policies, and transportation safety procedures.
- Provide responsive customer service and support the daily dispatch team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dispatching, trucking, logistics, freight coordination, or transportation preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, TMS platforms, and other logistics software.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with DAT Load Board, Truckstop, TMS, and ELD systems.
- Knowledge of freight brokerage, carrier operations, and trucking procedures.
- Understanding of DOT and transportation compliance requirements.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Russian is a plus.
