Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the logistics of freight transportation, building strong relationships with clients and carriers, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of transportation management and a passion for delivering exceptional service in the freight industry.
Duties
- Manage the end-to-end logistics process for freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through effective customer relationship management and account management strategies.
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and optimize routes.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers to secure competitive pricing and service levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate dispatching and ensure seamless communication throughout the supply chain.
- Conduct data entry tasks related to shipment tracking, pricing, and customer information.
- Stay informed about industry trends, FDA regulations, and best practices in supply chain management.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS).
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on contracts and pricing strategies.
- Experience in logistics planning, including inside sales and lead generation.
- Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts while providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong analytical skills for data entry and reporting purposes.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
