About Us:
Fairgrounds Transportation is a growing freight brokerage specializing in domestic transportation, including LTL, TL, and tradeshow logistics. We pride ourselves on providing reliable, efficient solutions to our customers and carrier partners. We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented LTL Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator with experience in both carrier and customer communication.
Position Overview:
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of LTL operations and the ability to manage multiple shipments with a high degree of accuracy and urgency. You’ll work closely with both our carrier network and our customer base to ensure on-time pickups, deliveries, and excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch LTL shipments and coordinate daily loads with carriers
Communicate directly with customers to confirm schedules and resolve issues
Track and trace shipments; update systems and stakeholders proactively
Negotiate rates and secure capacity when needed
Ensure all documentation is accurate and timely
Work with sales and operations teams to maintain service levels and KPIs
Qualifications:
2+ years of LTL or dispatch experience in a freight brokerage or 3PL environment
Solid knowledge of LTL carriers, transit times, and freight classes
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage time, prioritize, and multitask in a high-volume setting
Proficiency in TMS software and Microsoft Office
Dependable, organized, and customer-service oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
