Your proactive approach and passion for logistics will help optimize transportation planning and elevate customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective account management and inside sales strategies.Coordinate freight shipments by utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) and other CRM software to track, schedule, and optimize routes.Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers, ensuring competitive pricing while meeting client needs.Manage carrier relationships by sourcing new transportation providers, dispatching loads, and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and other industry standards.Conduct lead generation activities to identify new business opportunities within the supply chain and logistics sales sectors.Oversee data entry related to shipments, pricing, dispatching, and contract details using systems such as EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and AS400.SkillsKnowledge of supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), and logistics operations.Experience in B2B sales, account management, and logistics sales within a 3PL environment.Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable freight rates and contracts.Familiarity with transportation planning, dispatching, carrier sales, and freight forwarding processes.Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in pricing, lead generation, and contract negotiations.Knowledge of FDA regulations related to freight handling when applicable.Strong communication skills for customer relationship management.
