Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, coordinating freight brokerage activities, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves handling day-to-day quoting and booking of freight shipments with both new and existing clients, ensuring smooth logistics operations and fostering long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their freight needs and provide tailored transportation solutions.
- Manage freight brokerage operations, including coordinating shipments between shippers and carriers.
- Handle daily quoting of freight rates, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
- Book freight shipments promptly and accurately, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the shipping process to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Develop new business opportunities through logistics sales efforts and client outreach.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving problems, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to optimize logistics workflows and improve service quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation sales preferred.
- Strong client communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in quoting and booking processes.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, freight management software, or relevant industry tools is a plus.
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet operational goals.

Pay: $62,500.00 – $75,000.00 per year
