Express Logistics is currently hiring a Freight Broker to join our fast-paced and growing transportation team. This role is ideal for a driven professional who thrives in a high-pressure environment, enjoys problem-solving, and excels at building strong relationships with carriers and internal teams. You will play a critical role in moving freight efficiently across the U.S.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and internal operations teams
- Quote freight accurately and competitively based on market conditions and shipment requirements
- Negotiate rates and secure capacity to ensure profitable and reliable shipments
- Book and manage truckload and expedite freight
- Enter and maintain shipment details within the Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Communicate proactively with drivers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure on-time delivery
- Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep freight moving without disruption
Who Succeeds in This Role:
- Experience in logistics or freight brokerage
- Proven ability to quote freight and understand market pricing
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Self-motivated, competitive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
