Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Freight Broker to join our growing logistics team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of freight brokerage experience and a strong understanding of the transportation and logistics industry. Candidates with an existing book of business are highly encouraged to apply and will be strongly considered.
Freight Broker Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with carriers and shippers
- Source new carrier partners and negotiate competitive freight rates
- Manage full lifecycle of freight shipments from pickup to delivery
- Maintain communication with all parties to ensure timely and accurate updates
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the transportation process
- Track shipments and ensure all documentation is completed accurately
- Work closely with internal operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Meet or exceed monthly sales and performance goals
Freight Broker Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a freight broker or in a similar logistics role
- Strong knowledge of transportation industry trends, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- An existing book of business is a strong plus
