ICI Logistics LLC is a growing third-party logistics provider based in the Charlotte, NC area, built around a strong anchor freight base and an aggressive growth plan into open-market brokerage. We’re building our founding broker team now, and we’re looking for people who want to build a book of business, not just work one someone else built.
The Role
As a Freight Broker at ICI Logistics, you’ll own your own book of accounts and carrier relationships from day one. You’ll source freight, negotiate rates, build carrier capacity, and manage your lanes end to end. This is a full desk, not a shared desk, your accounts, your relationships, your results.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect, develop, and manage your own shipper accounts
- Source and negotiate with a growing carrier network to cover freight profitably
- Manage day-to-day shipment execution, from tender to delivery
- Build long-term, repeat relationships with shippers and carriers, not one-off spot loads
- Work closely with our internal team as we scale operations and support systems
What We’re Looking For
- Freight brokerage or 3PL experience preferred; we’ll also consider strong candidates from carrier or dispatch backgrounds who understand the freight cycle
- A self-starter mentality; we’re a growing company, and you’ll help shape how this desk runs
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Comfort with TMS platforms and load board tools
- A track record of, or clear drive toward, building and growing your own book
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive base salary plus an uncapped commission structure tied directly to your performance: the more you grow your book, the more you earn. Full benefits package included: medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid time off, effective on your first day.
