Role Description
This is a contract, remote role for a Freight Agent. The Freight Agent will be responsible for coordinating between shippers and carriers, managing transportation logistics, negotiating freight rates, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. Daily tasks include tracking shipments, updating clients on status, resolving issues, and maintaining detailed records of transportation activities.
Qualifications
Experience in coordinating between shippers and carriers
Strong negotiation and freight rate management skills
Excellent organizational and logistics management skills
Proficiency in tracking shipments and resolving transportation issues
Strong communication and client service skills
Ability to maintain accurate records of transportation activities
Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
