West Jet seeks a Lead, Fleet Transition to spearhead aircraft transitions. This in-person role emphasizes compliance and strategic stakeholder management in the Technical Operations team.
As a Lead Fleet Transition Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate aircraft leasing, return, and acquisition processes. You will oversee all regulatory documentation and guide a diverse team toward efficient operation while managing technical risks. Your leadership will drive process enhancements and foster relationships with external partners like lessors and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate fleet transition activities with key stakeholders
• Oversee end-to-end aircraft management processes
• Ensure thorough compliance with regulations and contracts
• Guide mentorship and training for team members
• Identify risks and proactively implement solutions
Requirements:
• At least 3 years’ experience with technical records
• 5 years’ experience within an airline maintenance context
• Knowledge of IATA best practices considered an asset
• Exceptional organization and communication skills
• Familiarity with eMRO and Air Vault systems beneficial
