Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. This role is essential for transporting freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, this is a intermodal company hauling shipping containers, also dry van/reefer and flatbed. As an Owner Operator Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.
Duties
Execute route driving efficiently to ensure timely delivery of freight.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the vehicle.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
Proven experience in truck driving at least 1 year
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and route planning.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients.
A solid understanding of vehicle maintenance practices is a plus.
