Role Description
This is a full-time role for a star fleet Allocator and team player, within a small but fast growing transport business. As the Allocator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fleet and will play a big part in the growth of a new player in the field. The role is located in Bundoora, VIC.
Your primary responsibilities include
Reporting to the Fleet Controller / Operations Manager & Director
Accurate and timely scheduling/booking of shipping container deliveries
Monitoring a fleet of trucks and its drivers
Accurate and timely booking and allocation of container slots
Monitor and respond to client queries in a clear and efficient manner
Communicating drivers’ rosters to drivers accuratelyÂ
Using booking software – Freight Tracker, 1-Stop, Freightweb and more.
Qualifications
Supervisory SkillsÂ
Fleet Operations and Fleet Management
Analytical Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance
Experience with fleet management software
Previous experience in the logistics or transportation industry
The following skills are also desirable
Knowledge of Freight Tracker software
Knowledge of Freight Web
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
