Go Career Choice is partnering with flatbed CDL-A Owner Operators near Kansas City who are looking for high-mileage earnings without giving up weekend home time. This Midwest-driven freight lane offers you full control over your schedule with non-forced dispatch, plus strong backend support and reimbursement for all fuel costs.
Position Overview
Compensation: $2.00 – $2.10 per mile
Average Weekly Pay: $3,500 – $4,200
Miles per Week: 1,800–2,100
Dispatch Model: 100% Non-Forced Board
Home Time: Most weekends (34–48 hrs average)
Freight Type: Flatbed (previous experience required)

Responsibilities
Operate your own Class A vehicle hauling flatbed freight in the Midwest
Secure and tarp loads based on safety standards
Maintain ELD logs and FMCSA compliance
Communicate clearly with dispatch and clients for timely delivery
Qualifications
At least 23 years old with a valid CDL-A
6+ months recent OTR experience (flatbed experience required)
Clean driving history
No more than 2 moving violations (last 3 years)
No more than 2 DOT-recordable accidents (last 3 years)
No more than 3 total incidents (last 3 years)
No 15+ mph speeding tickets, rollovers, or rear-end collisions
No safety terminations from prior carriers
No violent felonies (all other offenses must be 3–5+ years old)
Must pass DOT physical and both urine & hair follicle drug tests
SAP drivers must be 5+ years removed from program
Truck and trailer must stay connected — no bobtailing

Have you completed a DOT SAP program in the past 5 years? (Drivers must be 5 years clear from SAP program completion.)
Do you have at least 6 months of recent OTR tractor-trailer experience in the last 12 months, including some flatbed experience? (Required to qualify – local-only experience does not meet requirements.)
Do you currently own or lease a Class A tractor-trailer that you operate under your own authority? (Required for Owner Operator consideration.)
Is your truck a 2000 model year or newer? (Trucks older than 2000 must have documentation of a certified engine rebuild.)
