Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including flatbed, roll-off, refrigerated trailers, and tractor-trailers. This role requires a commitment to timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Duties
Operate and drive different types of trucks, including flatbeds, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers.
Load and unload freight efficiently and safely.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered on the route.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Must have FedEx ID
Skills
Proficient in operating various truck types such as flatbed trucks, roll-off trucks, , and tractor-trailers.
Experience with route driving and freight handling.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to tanker operations.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
Attention to detail in maintaining accurate delivery records and vehicle inspections.
