Job Summary
International Freight Forwarder, NVOCC, and Consolidator is seeking candidate as follows: EXPORTS Air- Freight and Ocean Freight coordinator;

Qualified individual with knowledge in the Freight Forwarding Industry for at least 2 years.

Duties

Candidate is required to have experience with full knowledge of air and ocean freight modes of transportation, must be familiar with in-bond shipments, IE, IT, processing of 7512 and SED knowledge, must have good communication with AIRLINES, STEAM SHIP LINES. Full time position and great work environment.
The role of the Air and Ocean Export Specialist is to facilitate the movement of freight out of the country, in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and to comply with relevant local, country, and international laws and processes.
In addition, this role provides customer service with regard to: bookings, rates, document production, accounting, agent interaction and problem solving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Prepare and coordinate the necessary documentation for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all export activities.

· Must have full knowledge: of export documentation, creation of BLs, HAWBs, Manifest, and MAWBs.

· Coordinate cargo pick up, transfer, and ability to monitor throughout the entire shipment.

· Direct experience in all facets of freight consolidation (Must know A thru Z ).

· Communicate with export related authorities, customers, and suppliers, in all relevant territories and countries, to ensure efficient, positive, and lawful relations, support and activities.

· Negotiate spot rates, when necessary, with various carriers.

· Preparing quotations for clients & overseas agents.

· Comprehensive understanding AMS, 7512’s, TSA, US Customs and their role within the field.

· Learning and applying U.S. Government regulations (ie. AES submissions) Ensure all documentation guidelines are met by the local branches according to the TSA regulations.

· Communicate/correspond with overseas agents and clients in a timely manner, to include pre-alerts, rate requests, shipment status.

· Experience and knowledge of scheduling domestic shipments via trucking companies.

· Track shipments and update customers/agents of status.

· Create and maintain customer files, customer invoices, and approve payables.

· Audit files to ensure accuracy and completion.

· Ensure accurate data entry and document upload into the system.

· Experience with CargoTrack – Descartes – Cargo wise or similar / import and export management system.

· Assist other departments/divisions as needed, or when requested by department or branch manager.

· Manage Hazardous Shipments.

Qualifications

2 – 5 Experience working for a Freight Forwarder. Less than 2 years exp will not be considered.

· Excellent organizational, communication skills, & customer service skills.

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.

· Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.

· Ethical and team player.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year

Experience:

Freight Forwarding Export/Import : 2 years (Required)
Import Brokers: 2 years (Preferred)
