Ingram Barge is seeking an Experienced Welder for our team in Metropolis, IL. Whether you are a Certified Welder or just starting, Ingram will invest in your training and development for the next level.
This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ingram’s fleet of barges. We operate in an environment where flexibility, a willingness to take on new tasks, and responsibilities keep things interesting!
What you’ll be doing:
Welding, Cutting, Fitting
Dry docking vessels for hull repair
Operating forklift
Operating hydraulic crane
Firewatch on towing vessels
Route dock clean up
Other duties as requested
Qualifications

Strong communication skills with all levels within the organization
Additional Information
Candidates must:
Possess a High School Diploma or GED
Possess a valid driver’s license
Display excellent communication skills
Ability to walk and lift for extended periods
Carry more than fifty pounds regularly
Read and write English to comply with USCG requirements
