Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, tankers, and dump trucks, to transport freight efficiently and effectively. This role requires adherence to safety regulations and company policies while ensuring timely deliveries. A team is welcome.
Duties
Operate and drive a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
Navigate assigned routes for timely delivery of freight while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Experience
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Familiarity with route driving and the operation of manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
Experience with various truck types such as tractor-trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is a plus.
Ability to operate forklifts safely is advantageous.
Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
