Role Description Experienced Freight Broker Agents at Momentum Logistics Inc. manage day-to-day freight brokerage operations, including sourcing carriers, negotiating rates, and coordinating shipments between shippers and transportation providers. In this full-time, on-site role based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, agents handle load planning, dispatching, and tracking to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. The position involves building and maintaining relationships with shippers and carriers, providing proactive customer service, resolving issues that arise during transit, and monitoring market conditions to offer competitive pricing. Agents also maintain accurate documentation, update transportation management systems, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize routing and capacity utilization. Success in this role requires a strong focus on performance, accountability, and delivering reliable logistics solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage, including negotiating rates, managing margins, and coordinating end-to-end shipment execution.
- Candidates should possess customer-facing skills in Customer Service and Account Management to build relationships, manage expectations, and provide ongoing support to shippers and carriers.
- Candidates should possess operational skills in Dispatching, including load planning, carrier assignment, and real-time tracking and issue resolution.
- Relevant experience in third-party logistics (3PL), transportation, or supply chain management, preferably in a high-volume brokerage environment.
- Ability to work remotely from anywhere in the United States, with strong time management, problem-solving, and multitasking capabilities.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems, common carrier platforms, and general computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and commitment to ethical, compliant business practices.
- Previous experience as a freight broker or freight agent and any relevant industry certifications are beneficial.
