Position Summary
The Executive supports the execution and performance of the Joint Business Agreement (JBA) by analysing market data, monitoring performance against JBA targets, and ensuring compliance with JBA terms. The role drives alignment of trade activities, customer engagements, and reporting with JBA strategies, while supporting the preparation of commercial agreements with customers, cargo agents, and freight forwarders. The Executive also acts as a key coordination point across stations and stakeholders, ensuring smooth implementation of JBA initiatives and supporting ongoing customer follow-ups and special projects related to the JBA.
Key Accountabilities
- Drive JBA Sales Growth Achieve cargo sales targets by proactively engaging key customers and identifying new business opportunities aligned with JBA network priorities and lanes.
- Build Customer Relationships Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, supporting joint selling initiatives and ensuring alignment with JBA commercial strategies.
- Market Intelligence Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and support JBA strategy refinement.
- Sales Performance Tracking Track sales performance against JBA targets, prepare regular reports, and provide insights to support decision-making and performance optimisation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with internal teams and JBA partners to ensure smooth execution of shipments, service delivery, and alignment with JBA objectives.
- Pricing and Proposal Development Support the development of competitive pricing and proposals in line with JBA guidelines, and respond to customer inquiries with timely and accurate quotations.
- Ensure JBA Compliance Ensure adherence to JBA terms, company policies, and regulatory requirements, including proper documentation and governance in all sales activities.
- Continuous Improvement Gather and analyse customer feedback to support service improvements, enhance customer experience, and strengthen JBA value proposition.
Qualifications and Years of Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) qualification is required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in cargo sales, air freight, logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
