Job Role:
- Facilitate the accurate and timely preparation of all export-related documentation in strict adherence to regulatory requirements and Company standards.
- Maintain proactive and professional communication with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination of export activities.
- Collaborate effectively with external stakeholders, including customers, shipping agents, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure smooth execution of export operations.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date records of export transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and documentation standards.
- Prepare and deliver regular updates on export operations, performance metrics, significant challenges, and other requested reports to the Management.
- Monitor shipment schedules, track shipments in transit, and provide timely updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay informed about evolving export regulations, trade policies, and industry best practices, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing export operations efficiency and suggest innovative solutions for process improvement.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of export operations and related areas, remaining up to date with industry trends and changes.
- Ensure the Company has all certifications required to unlock export potential. This includes justifying each certification, creating a priority list, and working with external and internal stakeholders to successfully achieve the certifications.
- Any other projects or tasks as requested by the Management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Passionate about Sri Lanka; you’re committed to making a positive impact for our Country and its people.
- Bachelor’s Degree in International Management and Business, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant export operations relevant experience in Food/FMCG industry
OR 5 year’s relevant experience along with relevant educational qualifications.
- Proven experience in export operations, export documentation, Customs TIEP regulations, compliance requirements & knowledge of the food export procedures & certifications.
- Good communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil is a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously & meet deadlines.
- Good IT literacy skills (MS Office packages & Microsoft 365 applications).
- Should be able to visit any of our factories/other locations for shipment inspections and work at any time.
