The Event Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for executing tasks and projects for USA Pickleball (USAP) related events, supporting the USAP team, tournament director and staff, while ensuring brand cohesion throughout the events. Serves as USAP’s point of contact for local organizing committees, event crews, event vendors, city and host venue. A strong ability to remain positive in the face of challenges, nimble while troubleshooting, and patient with passionate internal and external customers with the skill to see the big picture and manage the details is essential to success.

This position reports to the V.P of National Events and works closely with the competition, marketing, communications, membership, and partnership teams of USA Pickleball.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out tasks related to event logistics and inventory leading up to and at tournaments, inclusive of, but not limited to freight operations, ground operations, and communication to tournament directors on assets received.
  • Oversee and/or be a contributing team member for multiple USA Pickleball events.
  • Arrange shipping and receiving, and planned freight/transit.
  • Various administration duties, including equipment and supply ordering, travel logistics.
  • Oversee all warehouse operations, inventory management, and organization of supplies.
  • Contribute to problem solving for live events.
  • Execute and/or assist in the event setup to ensure that it adheres to USAP brand and safety standards.
  • Manage third party vendors.
  • Providing customer service in response to membership questions and concerns while onsite.
  • Serve as a resource for members at the events.
  • Serve as a supportive staff member at all events.
  • Conduct possible site visits prior to the events.
  • Remain current on all USA Pickleball issues, i.e., membership, ratings, sanctioning, qualifying matters, events, etc.
  • Ability to drive box truck is preferred.
  • Some travel required. ( Approximately 20% of the year)
