Founded in 2016, Secondhand Supply, LLC is an online retailer selling used and new goods on eBay, Amazon, and through local sales and auctions. The successful candidate will be employee #3 and instrumental in the growth of the company.
This position offers a flexible work schedule with opportunity for growth and a potential to move full time. Responsibilities include receiving shipments, preparing items for freight shipment, processing and evaluating new inventory, writing titles and descriptions, pricing items, photographing items, and packaging orders. You will be working closely alongside the owner (employee #1) for the duration of the training period and intermittently thereafter. This is not a customer-facing position.
All job-specific skills for this position are easily taught through training and with time. The successful candidate must be a confident technology user, have the drive to learn and improve, and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities
Work in a small warehouse environment receiving and prepare freight shipments
Handle pallets using a forklift and pallet jack
Research a wide variety of items and determine their value
Perform basic functionality testing
Put together titles, descriptions, and prices for researched items
Clean and prepare items for photographing
Photograph items and organize pictures on a computer
Safely and economically package outgoing orders
Qualifications
Strong typing skills
Strong internet research skills
Comfortable with a computer and working in a spreadsheet (preferably on MacOS)
Able to take quality pictures with smartphone
Attention to detail
Solid work ethic
Able to lift items over 100 pounds and be on your feet most of the day
Comfortable working in a non-temperature controlled warehouse environment
Able to work independently with little supervision required
Prior experience with selling on eBay or other online platforms is a plus
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 4-6 hour shifts, estimated 20 hours per week, flexible
Potential for additional hours for special projects
Compensation
$20-24 per hour
