E-Commerce UX Developer – Temp Jobs in Calabasas, CA at Harbor Freight Tools USA, Inc.
The E-Commerce UX Developer reports to the Director, E-Commerce Experience and supports the production and maintenance of experiences across the Harbor Freight Tools website. This includes building responsive CMS content, updating creative assets, and maintaining landing page and product page content as needed to ensure the website content and experiences are up-to-date and meet the high-standards of quality on the Harbor Freight website. This role will work closely with the E-commerce Development team and requires experience in front-end development, content management, graphic design and the ability to produce quality website experiences with excellent attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with the E-Commerce Marketing & Content team to coordinate all on-site content updates needed to launch marketing campaigns and promotions
Code and publish updates to landing pages and product detail pages while adhering to existing development standards and maintaining existing processes and templates
Support ongoing site maintenence to various CMS pages
Support content updates outside of regular business hours as needed (evenings/weekends)
Write clean, efficient and well-engineered front-end code
Build and maintain content and landing pages to support weekly and monthly updates to key business marketing program initiatives and promotions
Develop and integrate UX and UI design that maximizes user experience and application usability that matches mock-ups and prototypes
Launch and manage testing and personalization campaigns to support homepage updates, category banners, and other key content updates throughout the website
Assist with the creation of new testing and personalization campaign types as needed by the Manager of Testing and Personalization
Create digital assets as needed to support website experiences, promotions and product launches
Conduct and participates in collaborative technology discussions, and accept and provide constructive criticism in a professional manner
Work with back-end development, project managers, business analysts, content specialists, Quality Assurance and others to understand how business requirements and technical specifications will translate to actual work product across our platform

Requirements
Education and Experience
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant work experience
Years of Experience
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an online or E-commerce field
Experience utilizing HTML/HTML5, jQuery, AJAX and JavaScript. Understanding of CSS Preprocessors (sass) is a plus
Experience producing assets/images that are optimized for websites
Experience with modern web frameworks (Vuejs, Reactjs, Angular) a plus
Experience with modern web frameworks (Vuejs, Reactjs, Angular) a plus
Experience with implementation of and adherence to ADA/Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
Experience creating and editing assets in Photoshop or Adobe XD a plus
Skills
Ability to work varying hours to support production updates that may occur late in the evening or over the weekend

The anticipated rate for this position is $36.00 per hour depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. Associates can accrue paid sick time up to 64 hours per year unless otherwise required by law. The Company observes 100 hours of paid holiday time.
