Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operations, including driving various types of trucks such as dump trucks, tankers, and roll-off trucks. The Dump Truck Driver will play a crucial role in our operations by maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road.
Responsibilities
Operate dump trucks to transport materials including dirt, gravel, sand, and construction debris.
Load and unload freight safely and efficiently at designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time logs and material quantities.
Collaborate with site supervisors to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Utilize manual transmission when operating vehicles as required.
Operate forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading materials.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols to minimize risks on the job site.
Experience
Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with dump trucks or similar vehicles.
Familiarity with operating tankers, roll-off trucks, refrigerated trailers, or other freight vehicles is a plus.
Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles effectively.
Strong understanding of load unloading procedures and safety practices in transportation.
A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required for this position.
