Job Summary
As an Owner Operator Driver, you will be responsible for operating and managing your own commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials for various clients. This role requires self-motivation, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage your own schedule effectively.
Responsibilities
Transport goods and materials safely and efficiently to designated locations
Operate various types of commercial vehicles such as tankers, flatbeds, dump trucks, refrigerated trailers, and roll-off trucks
Load and unload cargo as needed
Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe transportation
Maintain the cleanliness and general maintenance of the vehicle
Communicate effectively with clients and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Experience
Prior experience as a truck driver or delivery driver is required
Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred
Experience with different types of freight transportation such as tanker, flatbed, or refrigerated trailers is a plus
Knowledge of load securement techniques and best practices
Ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $2.30 – $2.50 per mile
