This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving proficiency and contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment that values safety, reliability, and professionalism.DutiesOperate a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers to transport freight across designated routes.Safely load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper securing of hazardous or dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations.Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal paths for timely deliveries while managing over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after trips.Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and cargo handling standards.Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly.SkillsProven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers or similar vehicles.Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.Skilled in operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized freight vehicles.Proficient in using GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments.Ability to manually handle cargo safely using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary.Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission trucks is preferred.Familiarity with logistics cargo handling procedures including load & unload operations for various types of freight such as dangerous goods or freight requiring special handling.Join us as a Driver if you’re passionate about safe driving practices, enjoy navigating diverse routes, and thrive in a role that keeps the wheels turning!
