We serve the healthcare industry through our unique customized approach to medical transportation and logistics. We understand the critical role that timely and accurate medical specimen delivery plays in diagnosing and treating patients.
Position Overview: As a Medical Courier Driver, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for transporting medical specimens from various locations to our laboratory facilities. Your role is crucial in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of these specimens, which directly impact the lives of patients awaiting diagnosis and treatment.
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour. We also provide mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
Drive personal vehicle to transport medical items including specimens, and sensitive and confidential documents.
Load and unload medical items from vehicle, ensuring proper maintenance and safety.
Deliver items to correct destinations in a timely manner, following routing specifications.
Interact courteously and professionally with customers and co-workers.
Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures where applicable.
Communicate with dispatch and management regarding delays or delivery status changes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Drive personal vehicle adhering to safety and efficiency guidelines.
Must be HIPAA compliant (training provided).
Knowledge of locating customer locations via GPS or maps.
Strong reading, comprehension, and execution skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
High work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail.
Command of written and spoken English.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation with a good driving record.
Physical Standards:
Ability to walk, bend, reach, climb, and lift 25 pounds or more.
Frequent driving, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting.
Wearing appropriate attire for comfort and support.
Good hearing and vision abilities.
Environmental conditions may vary.
