Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including flatbed, roll-off, and tanker vehicles, to deliver freight to designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to manage loading and unloading tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
Safely operate trucks including flatbed, roll-off, tanker, and tractor-trailer vehicles.
Load and unload freight as required at various delivery sites.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to scheduled routes.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving in various weather conditions.
Handle any necessary paperwork related to deliveries and freight.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated.
Proven experience as a truck driver with a strong understanding of manual transmission operation.
Familiarity with flatbed, roll-off truck, tanker, and tractor-trailer driving is preferred.
Ability to load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
