Driver – (Box Truck, Non-CDL) Kansas City, MO | Full-Time | Day Routes | W-2
Hayes Logistics is hiring great Drivers to drive day trips to and from Iowa and potentially other Missouri connected states. If you have over 2 years of Successful Box Truck experience we want to speak with you. Unfortunately we’ll not be interviewing anyone without Box truck experience at this time.
The right person prefers to drive daily Monday – Friday, keeps trucks in great shape, is great with customer service AND serves as an amazing teammate.

**This is a safety-sensitive driving position. Employment requires passing a pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana/THC, and complying with all applicable motor carrier safety regulations.

Pay & Schedule
- Weekly pay $750-$900, based on experience and capability
- Full-time, weekday day routes (some flexibility during launch)
- W-2, hourly position, overtime eligible
What You’ll Do
- Drive company box trucks 26ft and below (usually on your own) on local and regional day routes
- Provide brief, but excellent client interactions
- Take care of the freight as if it were your own
- Operate a lift gate and/or pallet jack safely
- Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and monitor vehicle condition
- Identify basic mechanical issues and report any needed maintenance or repairs
- Maintain DOT awareness, safety practices, and compliance
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
- Solve problems calmly and make sound decisions in the field
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent driving record and clean background
- Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles
- A growth and others-focused mindset — you like doing great work
- Mechanically aware (able to spot issues and coordinate fixes) – Mechanically skilled is even better but not required.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using mobile apps and basic tracking tools and even better if you’re willing to learn and teach new technology to others.
- Strong communication skills and customer awareness
- Willing to take ownership over the success of each route which may include moving freight with a pallet jack and/or a cart on and off of trucks when needed. This may also include occasionally lifting 50+ pounds.
