SUMMARY
Responsible for the delivery of merchandise to customers within the expected time parameters.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:
High School or equivalent and 1+ year of safe commercial driving experience (class A or B CDL). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to problem solve and prioritize work. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to maintain a current DOT Medical Certification and comply with all DOT regulations as required. Ability to bend, stoop, climb, twist, stand, and lift between 60-100 lbs while loading and unloading delivery truck at each stop (15-30 stops per day).
Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Deliver merchandise according to pre-determined route.
Unload correct merchandise and check order, noting any corrections.
Complete all assigned reports and paperwork at the end of the day.
Communicate with Manager any system or documentation problems identified throughout the day.
Pick-up returned merchandise per return authorization.
Comply with all DOT safety and documentation regulations.
Perform safety and housekeeping duties as they pertain to Edward Don & Company and OSHA standards.
Effectively communicate with customers and all levels of staff.
Perform other duties as assigned. Shift times will vary.
